Shedquarters Cleanup and Freebies Galore!
Indie Author Kicked Out of Shedquarters
Bella and Gracie are unimpressed, and I’m not a happy bunny either. I don’t care about the dust, the coffee stains, the dried leaves, and the gekko crap ( I hope it’s gekko). However, anyone not me visiting Shedquarters would have fainted just past the door. It’s filthy, I know, and although I don’t care, I suppose it’s time for a little clean up. Soooo, while I write and work from my dining room table, there are a few things I wanted to update you on.
¿Hablas Español?
The original Silvan Saga is getting translated into Spanish. With the release of book 2 this Wednesday 1st October, book one is going free until this Saturday 4th October. So if you want to read Fel’annár speaking Spanish, grab your copy now! Next language: German.
Those of you who know me, know that I love playing padel. We played the finals of the veterans SNP league in Seville and lost. Who would say by looking at us? We had a fabulous time, which is all that really matters, even if losing does suck.
Apart from that, it’s been all work for me. Quest For Adakia is at the drafting stage, and proofing for Dawn of a Legend in Spanish is under way. I’m also trying to get my head around AI beyond asking chat GPT basic questions. I hope that doesn’t end up causing world war III, but honestly, anything could happen. It’s scary to think I can just ask it who the character from Road of a Warrior was who conspired with Lord Sulen and then turned against him to help Fel’annár - and it will, after some thinking - come up with the answer. Now I haven’t tried that yet, but I know it’s possible. (Answer?)
Box Set 1, The Silvan Books 1-3
If you haven’t read the original series yet, now is a great time to jump on board. The first three books will be free from 30th September to Saturday 4th October. That’s Path of a Novice, Road of a Warrior, and Dawn of a Legend, all going for naught.
I’m dying for the cold weather to kick in. I want my fire crackling in the hearth, cosy blankets and hot stew with steaming bread, dogs curled up against each other and the wind howling around the pine forest beyond my windows. There’s something about the winter months that inspires my writing, and I can’t wait to knuckle down in a clean shedquarters and continue with Silvan Outlands. Hopefully, the next time I post, there will be a lovely photo of Bella and Gracie curled up in front of the fire.
Until next time, read much, laugh lots, and take very good care of yourselves.
With love.
